Sideris addresses the challenge of achieving interdisciplinary dialogue to tackle the notion of humans as a geophysical force. While many disciplines attempt to define what it means to be human in the Anthropocene, Sideris argues that no single one is really able to do so. She explores what it means to think of ourselves as a species, and how studies show that pursuit of the portrait of the human is already well underway.
