Mexico’s social revolution of 1910 had far-reaching consequences for the nation’s natural environment. Yet the revolution of 1910 was not the only one to transform the environment between 1850 and the present day: in addition, we must consider the liberal political revolution that erupted in 1854 and the Green Revolution that began in 1943. Each of these revolutions left ecological and political footprints that influenced the subsequent one.
