Isaac, an elder from the Mi’kmaq community, tells about his family’s fishing history and the challenges they have faced from restrictive agreements. Even with extreme obstacles, he continued fishing, driven by a steadfast belief in treaty rights. Gradually, their community took over fisheries management, and introduced rangers to oversee proper practices.
