Themata für die Lichtbilder wären für mich ja leicht zu finden: meine jetzige Reise, Ballon u. Drachen, Astronomie; ferner könnten fortdauernd von der Expedition Diapositive hergestellt werden. Es wäre z.B. jetzt für uns sehr interessant, Diapositive von unserer eigenen Reise zu sehen.
Es sollte auf der Expedition ein Fachphotograph mitkommen, sowie ein Kunstmaler. Für diese wäre gewiß reichlich Gelegenheit Arbeit. Der Fachphotograph hätte nicht nur die Beschaffung und Verwaltung der Dunkelkammer und photgr. Artikel zu besorgen, sondern auch derartige Reproduktionen, wie Diapositive zu der Projektionslampe anzufertigen. Ferner Entwicklung der photogrammetrischen Aufnahmen, und Herstellung von Nordlichtbildern, Wolkenbildern, Portraits der Mitglieder, Tierbilder, Refraktionsbilder (Telephotographie), Farbenphoto. [unleserlich] Mikrophotgraphie und andere systematische oder wissenschaftliche Aufnahmen (auch Entwicklung von photographischen Registrierungen). Fernern ist ein Fachkartograph notwendig. Ein Fachmeteorologe. Ein Magnetiker. Ein Aeronaut für Drach. u. Ballonaufsteige; Luftelektrizität kann

Topics for the slide show would be easy to find for me: my current expedition, balloons and kites, astronomy; slides from the expedition could also be produced continuously. It would be very interesting for us, for example, to see slides from our own journey. A professional photographer should come along on the expedition, as well as a painter. There would surely be plenty of opportunity for them to work. The photographer would not only have the establishment and maintenance of the darkroom and photographic equipment to take care of, but also reproductions, such as slides for the projector, to make. Also developing the photogrammetric material and the production of pictures of the northern lights, clouds, portraits of the expedition members, animal pictures, refraction pictures (telephotography), color pictures.
