This article describes the ecovillage Sieben Linden from the perspective of one of its residents. Although the inhabitants of Sieben Linden share the goal of creating a viable and sustainable community, their lifestyles and backgrounds are far from uniform. Würfel considers whether Sieben Linden can be considered a model for sustainable living, and if so, for whom is it relevant? While many aspects of the community may not be relevant for the urban city dweller, he believes the ecovillage still has much to offer. Above all it shows residents and visitors the possibility of becoming part of the solution rather than staying part of the problem.
