Einfachstes Holzmaterial, durch Segeltuchüberzug dicht gemacht, kann auf dem Schiffe nicht allzu viel Raum in Anspruch nehmen. Über die Konstruktion dieses Häuschens bin ich noch nicht ganz im Klaren. Drehbar braucht es nicht zu sein, und ebenso wenig heizbar. Dagegen muß es leicht schneedicht verschließbar sein. Vielleicht ist eine vor dem Häuschen anzubringende Ablaufrolle praktisch, weil dann das Haus selbst fast ganz geschlossen sein kann. In dem Häuschen muß die Winde fest angebracht sein, und es muß Platz für den Motor vorhanden sein. [kleine Skizze der Konstruktion]

Very simple wooden frame, sealed with canvas, which cannot possibly take up too much space on the ship. I am not yet entirely certain about the construction of this shed. It does not need to be pivoted, nor does it need to be heated, but one must be able to seal it easily so that it is snow-tight. Perhaps a roller attached in front of the shed would be practical, since then the shed itself can be sealed almost completely.
